I don’t know about you but my desktop gets cluttered over time and it really doesn’t bother me but it does make for a crappy looking screenshot and gives users insight into what I am up to when I share my desktop in a webex session.
One way around this is with 3rd party tools like IconHider as described in this post from ghacks. However a poster had an even better solution. Right Click on the desktop and then choose “Arrange Icons” then uncheck “Show Desktop Icons” BOOM! All the icons are gone until you choose to show them again.
