“How long does your MFG/PRO Month End Close Take?”

We have been in business for 12 years and as a technology company that is a fairly long time. We have done a fair share of “informal” marketing over the years. What i mean by that is that we have produced printed material and had our share of trade shows but we have never had a formal plan for marketing where we laid out the upcoming events for an entire year so our sales team could benefit from it.
Like most industries our is becoming more mature and it is getting harder and harder to make profits and keep all of our consultants and developers busy. We have much more competition now and some of it from overseas where the labor cost is much lower. We are looking for more innovative ways to get more opportunities to sell to our existing customers and more importantly to a new group of prospects. We are trying to do this through a more formal marketing plan.

2007 is going to be our year of the webinar. We are investing in tools and services to help us put on at least 8 professional 1 hour product sales webinars for the upcoming year. We have extended our relationship with Webex by subscribing to their “Events Center” service and solicited their production department to help us produce at least our first two webinars.
We are using a company called WMSH Marketing Communications to helps us develop our message for our products - to drive attendance and sales by showing the pain our software can relief. I think our first engagement was a good one running with the following tag line “How long does your MFG/PRO Month End Close Take?
I will let you know how our first one goes in about 15 days where we will be showing our GL Chart of Accounts Conversion suite to hopefully a packed house.
