Google has a new Patent Search project which allows you to search over 7 million patents and see the invention drawings and filings just as you can on the USPTO site.
Google uses the same indexing for the patents as the google book search converting the images into searchable documents.

I have created a MFG/PRO custom Search Engine at Google. What this does is emphases searching on MFG/PRO related sites I have defined before it searches the rest of the net.

I spent about an hour trying to enroll and then use their online banking site at www.citizensbank.com and became totally frustrated. “Page Not Found” errors, Capthcas that don’t work , as well as javascript code that wasn’t working.
